What is this medicine used for?
It is used for the prevention and relief of bronchospasm associated with obstructive airways disease such as bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
How much and how often should you use this medicine?
Age Group | Oral Dose of Salbutamol | Every 6 or 8 hours |

Adults and Children over 12 years | 1 to 2 tablets | 5 to 10 mL (1 to 2 teaspoonsful) |
Children 7 to 12 years old | 1 tablet | 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) |
Children 2 to 6 years old | 1/2 to 1 tablet | 2.5 to 5 mL (1/2 to 1 teaspoonful) |
Or, as prescribed by a physician. |
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Salbutamol
Diagnosed with diabetes, hyperthyroidism, convulsive disorders, coronary insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmia or hypertension
Imipramine, Desipramine, Clomipramine, Amitryptyline: increased risk of abnormal heart rhythm and unstable blood pressure
Moclobemide, Phenelzine, Isocarboxazid, Tranylcypromine, Selegiline: increased risk of abnormal heart rhythm and unstable blood pressure
Metoprolol, Propranolol: do not take together because these drugs inhibit the effects of salbutamol
