What is this medicine used for?

Treatment of hypertension and prophylaxis of angina.

How much and how often should you use this medicine?

Usual Oral Adult Dose: 5 mg once daily

Maximum Dose: 10 mg once daily

Contraindications

• Aspirin: possible increase in blood pressure
• Grapefruit juice: increased risk of severe lowering of blood pressure
• Low blood pressure

Availability

• Amlodipine besilate 5 mg tablet - in box of 100’s (in blister foil by 10’s)
• Amlodipine besilate 10 mg tablet - in box of 100’s (in blister foil by 10’s)
