What is this medicine used for?

• Treatment of hypertension
• Treatment of angina pectoris

How much and how often should you use this medicine?

The dose should be adjusted to the individual requirements of the patient. Felodipine 5 mg modified-release tablet should usually be administered as follows:

• The recommended initial dose is 5 mg once daily.
• If necessary, the dose may be increased to 10 mg once daily or another hypertensive agent added.
• Dose increases should occur at intervals of at least 2 weeks.
• The usual maintenance dose is 5-10 mg once daily.
• The maximum daily dose is 10 mg.

Contraindications:

• Diagnosed with severe aortic or mitral stenosis
• Obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
• Unstable angina pectoris
• Decompensated heart failure
• Pregnancy
