What is this product for?

For the treatment of Acid-Reflux disorder (GERD), Gastric Ulcer, Duodenal Ulcer, Erosive Esophagitis

How much and how often should you take this medicine?

40 mg capsule once a day for 4-8 weeks

Warnings and Precautions

Proton pump inhibitors (such as Omeprazole) may increase your risk for bone fractures, especially with longer use, higher doses, and in older adults. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about ways to prevent bone loss/fracture, such as by taking calcium (such as calcium citrate) and vitamin D supplements.

Undesirable effects

• Headache
• Stomach pain
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Gas

Contraindications

• Clostridium difficile infection
• Inadequate Vit B12
• Low amount of magnesium in the blood
• Liver problems
• Interstitial Nephritis
• Subcutaneous lupus erythematosus
• Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
• Osteoporosis
• Broken Bone
• CYP2C19 poor metabolizer

Interaction with other medications

• Atazanavir
• Rilpivirine
• Nelfinavir
• Clopidogrel
