What is this medicine used for?

For the treatment and prevention of ascorbic acid deficiency.

How much and how often should you use this medicine?

Children:

• 2 to 6 years - 2.5 ml (1/2 teaspoonful)
• 7 to 12 years - 5 ml (1 teaspoonful)

Children and adults over 12 years:

• 5 ml to 10 ml (1 to 2 teaspoonsful) to be taken once a day or as prescribed by the physician.

Warnings and Precautions:

This product contains FD&C yellow #5 (Tartrazine) which may cause allergic reactions (including bronchial asthma) in certain susceptible persons. Should be given with care to patients with hyperoxaluria.

Undesirable Effects:

Large doses are reported to cause diarrhea and other gastrointestinal disturbances and are associated with the formation of renal calcium oxalate calculi.
