Medicine Information

Indication:

Used in the prevention and treatment of iron-deficiency anemia; prenatal hematinic.

Dosage & Administration:

One tablet daily or as prescribed by the physician.

Contraindication:

Patients with iron-shortage or iron-absorption diseases, hemoglobinopathies, gastrointestinal disease.

Warning & Precautions:

Patients receiving repeated blood transfusion or to patients with anemias not produced by iron deficiency. Oral iron should not be administered with parenteral iron.

Undesirable Effects:

Gastrointestinal irritation and abdominal pain with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or constipation. The feces of patients taking iron salts may be colored black.

Interaction with other medicaments:

Concomitant administration of tetracyclines and some antacids may diminish iron absorption.

Storage Condition:

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.
